Finding purpose. Introduction. (1)

Ever have a deep sense that your life is made for something so much greater than it seems to be?

Let me just affirm you right here. You are made for more.

For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10, ESV

No one else can be you. Unique. With God-given purpose. To do good works that He gave you to do.

Creator made you lovely (1)
No else can do you!

“You Are More”  – Tenth Avenue North

No one else can play your part in this big story that spans all of time and beyond.

You may share interests, experiences, or quirks with others, but there is NO ONE just exactly like you. God created you one-of-a-kind.That makes you remarkable. Your personality, interests, passions, background, your heritage… Unique! Amazing! Beautiful!

Think of your life as being like a song. God is the songwriter. He was thinking of YOU the whole time that He wrote the song, and He called YOU to sing it to the world! Maybe you’d prefer a car analogy. You’re the car. God’s the engineer who designed a sweet ride knowing where you’ll go and what tools you’ll need to get the job done.

Discovering who you are, what you’re called to do, and how to become the best version of yourself takes time.

It’s not a small topic. I’m going to cover these things over several days. Here’s the outline if you want to know where we’re headed.
• Who am I?
• Where do I start?
• Good News for everyone
• Spiritual Gifts – what are they and why do they matter?
• How do I put all this together to understand my purpose and calling?

It may be helpful if you keep a journal of insights you gain as you go through this series.

Your calling won’t become clear overnight, but be patient, keep doing what you know you are supposed to do, and keep trusting God. He has a plan for your life and it’s amazing.
